"We specialise in the manufacture and design of industrial inspired furniture and fittings, all made in our workshop on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, Australia. Our range of standard furniture and homewares can be modified to customer specifications. Our expertise in design, material selection and construction techniques ensures quality finish and an understanding of customer service. Our materials are sourced from Australian manufacturers where possible and selected on the basis of environmental merit." Industria X started in 1999 alongside Max Watt's Industria as a shopfront on Gertrude Street, Fitzroy, Victoria. The Buckley family started Industria X and Max Watts' Industria and quickly the shop gained a solid reputation as the 'go to' shop for anything ex-industrial and interesting in furniture. The second hand component, Max Watt's Industria still runs out of the Tyabb Packing House, Tyabb, Victoria. Mark and Emma Cleine bought Industria X, the new furniture component of the business late 2014. Mark is production manager and designer and makes all the carpentry elements of the furniture. His expertise in working with wood and crafting furniture gives each piece quality and refinement. Emma's background is art and homewares and she is involved in most aspects of the business. Emma's other business is Lumiere Art + Co.
