Chathurika Kulasinghe

A young and budding Architect, Chathurika Kulasinghe follows the idea that architecture is more than just a brick or concrete building. It is the creation of spatial experience through a harmonized composition of tropical design, minimalism and simplicity enhanced and optimized by careful selection of materials, the modern rustic nature of locally sourced materials giving an earthy feel to the space, and contrasting against simple colour palettes with an occasional splash of colour. Chathurika Kulasinghe (AIA.SL 2014, MArch - Architecture and Environmental Design (UWE)) graduated from the city School of Architecture and seeks to innovate and create excitement in design of architectural spaces with focus on creating a strong connection between the user and the space , igniting and introducing playfulness to spaces by romantic light and shadow play and a feel of connectivity with natural elements of space.
