Background The Black & Key furniture and accessories collection is a synthesis of designs created over many years by award-winning designer Karin Verzariu, Member of the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID), for her international private clients. Karin brings 30 years' interior design experience to the collection. Location Black & Key's pieces are designed in our studio in London and are custom-made to order in Britain by our highly skilled craftsmen. Designers and clients are welcome to visit our studio by appointment to view selected items of the collection and samples of our inspirational finishes. Our clients The Black & Key collection is sourced by many internationally famous interior designers and architects, as well as private clients as it meets high expectations for quality and immaculate design. Our pieces can be seen in some of London's leading hotels, such as Claridge's. We ship to clients in the UK and internationally. What we do Black & Key design and manufacture luxurious custom-made furniture and accessories for homes, boutique hotels, private yachts and executive offices in selected veneers, complemented by imaginative and unique inlays and details. The bespoke furniture collection includes sideboards, chest of drawers, tables of all kinds including dining tables, chairs, a secretaire which can be transformed into a media cabinet or a bar, beds, ottoman and benches, as well as beautiful mirrors and exquisite pull handles. Unique finishes Polished nickel and antique brass highlight exotic veneers such as macassar, burr walnut and glamorous bird's eye maple veneers in our Sable and Pewter tones. The sophisticated addition of unique Molten Metal and Antique Crazed Gold metallic finishes embellish many pieces of the collection. Veneers, finishes and details can be interchanged and adapted to the client's style to create unique designs; alternatively we can assist with the interpretation of individuals' wishes to create bespoke pieces which complement client's interiors. Bespoke mirrors and handles Our stunning pull handles and mirrors, hand-crafted in Britain, add glamorous sparkle to the collection, enhanced by our wonderful inlays, mother-of-pearl, black gloss and French straw marquetry. Handles can be interchanged on many pieces to create a personalised look; they can also be supplied as an opulent addition to clients' own furniture to add sophistication to any room. Custom-made in Britain Our custom-made collection is made in Britain, offering great flexibility on all our pieces. Designers and individuals can customise the finish, dimensions and details to suit the project or environment. Black & Key is rapidly gaining a reputation for beautifully designed, Art Deco inspired, classical and timeless pieces which suit contemporary as well as traditional interiors and can be customised to suit all requirements. Before manufacturing bespoke designs our design team will produce drawings for approval.
