Petit by Sam
Petit by Sam is a bakery & coffee shop in The Hague, The Netherlands. Founded in 2020 in Amsterdam by Sam, it offers small patisserie and specialty coffee. In 2023 Sam decided to enlarge her offer, and has collaborated with Studio Ninetynine to design the second location in the heart of The Hague. The second location has bigger aspirations, besides the breakfast and all day dining, a small retail section and a workshop area are part of the concept.

In this location besides the petite patisserie Petit by Sam aimed to have more space for comfortable cozy seats and also some space for retail and workshops in an overlooking kitchen area.

Dance and Music Centre
Mecanoo designed the new Dance and Music Centre as a transparent, functional culture tower with an ingenious stacking of functions. The tower stands as a cultural beacon in the city and rests on a plinth with an elevated park. The theatres and the Conservatory are raised, creating a transparent plinth with restaurants, shops and a two storey entrance hall on the square.
Like a grand showcase, the building exhibits all of its cultural functions. This is not a closed theatre box, but an open and inviting building full of vitality; palpable and visible from the Spui Square.
