VADI PARK DELUXE

Vadi Park Deluxe is a boutique hotel project under construction in the Aydınpınar region of Düzce province, which has the most important natural assets among Turkey's natural beauties. Aydınpınar is a region with natural spring water and waterfalls. The project offers a magnificent view in the center of all these beauties, intertwined with nature and with the natural stream around it. ECCE GROUP ECCE GROUP When the project was first entered, it was aimed not to disturb the sounds of water and the natural beauty created by the presence of waterfalls and streams in the region. For this reason, the project was not solved as a single building; it was structured separately according to its functions and placed in a way to adapt t... More

Citadelle Dock 1, Deux Rives in Strasbourg

The Deux Rives project is the largest development project in Strasbourg since the Neustadt was built between 1871 and 1918. Aim is to redesign the Strasbourg-Kehl axis and to realise a transnational two-shore metropolis. The Dock 1 construction site on the Rhine Canal (Petit Rhin) marks the prelude of the redesign of the “Citadelle” harbour district. Visible from the Parc de la Citadelle to the Vauban Bridge, our project perfectly fits into the urban context and shapes its identity as an “eco-quarter”. Aldo Amoretti The mixed-use project with 83 apartments on a multi-story car park is part of a new concept based on the interweaving of various functions. This unique program creates a communicative environment ar... More

Budapest underground - sound absorbing walls

Aluinvent's LO2 (two side open) panels were applied to the entire legth of the platforms at Corvin-Negyed Station in Budapest, a length of 125m on both sides. The panels serve a dual purpose, both aesthetic and functional, providing a unique decorative element and also functioning as part of a noise reduction system to make the station as silent as possible.  Aluinvent Prior to construction lab tests were conducted to establish the sound dampening properties of the panels. Tests showed the panels were twice as effective at reducing sound than originally required by the client. Aluinvent Aluinvent panels are made from 90% recycled materials in a manufacturing facility run entirely by renewable energy which helped the project... More

DC3 Tower

The tower in Vienna’s Donauplatte area complements the towers DC 1 and DC 2 by Dominique Perrault and offers 832 apartments for temporary living. The 100-meter-high building is connected on several levels to the existing Donaucity quarter as well as to the transport network via public plazas and paths. The projections of the three-dimensionally warped façade elements correspond to cozy alcoves, which frame the view of the Danube and the city in every room. Dietrich Untertrifaller Urban Context The narrow property – hardly more than a traffic island, surrounded by Wagramerstraße, motorway access and underground line – presented us with great planning challenges. But the attractive location on the Danube... More

Kindergarten & Rehearsal Room

The Kindergarten south of the village center defines the west side of the square. It opens itself to the play garden in the south, while a protecting wall shields the children from the heavy traffic of the parking lot. Two group rooms with dedicated coatrooms are situated along the central corridor of the ground floor. A robust framed construction shades the south-oriented glass façade. Creating a portal, it generously spans the access path and clearly links it to the kindergarten. Situated to the north are adjoining rooms, the office of the head of the kindergarten, a group room and an exercise room. The playrooms are paneled with birch plywood, which creates a warm-colored background for a lively and colorful crowd of children.... More

House D in Dornbirn

Stüben, a steep mountain plot above Dornbirn, offers views over the Vorarlberg Rhine Valley, the alpine landscape from the First to the Swiss mountains and in the northwest over Lake Constance. The house captures the panorama with its largely glazed living area on the top floor, and in its formal language, it creates references to the architecture of traditional farmhouses. Bruno Klomfar Bruno Klomfar The found topography largely determines the concept of the house. A narrow path leads between old pear trees to the entrance on the lower level. The basement and the sleeping floor above disappear mostly in the terrain. The two stories are solidly constructed and show themselves as exposed concrete plinth. The distinctive canti... More

Lake House

The house on the lake refers to the local boat and fishing houses and follows the tradition of rural construction by the water. Lightness, a low, wide roof structure and a strong emphasis on the horizontal determine the design. The timber construction, predominantly from local woods, is elevated to protect it from flood. The wooden porch surrounding the house widens to a terrace at the lakeside, completely covered by the steep saddleback roof. The vertical timber formwork of the facades is untreated, with wide glazing allowing generous views into the surroundings. House P in Allgäu

On the edge of a densely built residential area in the Allgäu hills, we created a well-conceived wooden house for a variety of uses. The adjacent popular recreation and landscape conservation area prompted us to incorporate the surrounding nature into the design of the house. The new building follows the proportions of the desolate existing building from the 1960s. The staggered storey set back from the street communicates with the slope, whose original steepness we have restored. The restrained, horizontally structured architecture with a façade made of local wood blends harmoniously into the natural surroundings. Floor-to-ceiling glazing, visual axes and open living spaces that offer numerous views stage nature and bring it in... More

Via Donau Administration

The long, one-story structure perfectly and naturally merges into the existing ensemble on the banks of the Danube. Yet it successfully redefines the place, recharges it and provides it with a new unique identity. Floating on a “high-water platform”, its subtle elegance radiates far into the river basin and reflects the interplay between longitudinal wood volumes and transversed rural massive buildings. Bruno Klomfar Bruno Klomfar The roof gable is slightly tilted and lifted to underline the main entrance accessible by ramps. The foyer and the multifunctional seating room are connected to the front terrace to be clearly visible and enhanced to high quality spaces. The wide vertical wooden lamellas to the Danube underl... Fire Sation Mellau

The dual-purpose medium-size structure is located on the right bank of the Mellenbach. The design concept reminds of a fluvial terrace and pays homage to the topography; both longitudinal sides of the structure reference the Geländesprung (jump in the terrain) measuring one and a half stories. This integrates the attractive functional building into the fabric of the surrounding settlement. Bruno Klomfar The access path, parking lots and the vehicle hall are located on the lower level. The gates open toward the entrance piazza along the quayside, while the coatroom and service rooms at the rear section maintain daylight through a ribbon glazing. The offices of the fire station and the mountain rescue station are accessed along the... More

Marina Residence

A successful and beautiful project sometimes has an equally compelling story behind its creation. Such is the case with Rico Way, a home designed and built out of a re-kindled friendship, a novel design intent, and complete mutual trust. This Marina residence is a true collaboration among friends; Victor Mezhvinsky of FORMA Construction and Lindsay Gerber Interiors.   FORMA worked closely with Lindsay to completely transform this Marina Residence. The client wanted color with a degree of "glamour", while at the same time being warm and inviting for a family of four. Venetian plaster, lacquer, and statement lighting pieces complete the space making it truly one of a kind. More

legero united campus

The legero united campus near Graz consists of two differently sized rings. Generous glazing, the facade of bronze-coloured anodised aluminium that changes in sunlight and the lushly planted inner courtyards blur the boundaries between inside and outside. The larger office ring can be topped up by an additional floor at any time. This meets the customer’s desire for a ‘growing’ corporate headquarter that can be extended in stages without producing a temporary measure. The result is a campus, a place with identity and great charisma, a dynamic and yet harmonious composition, at any time and in all stages of construction. The innovative campus translates the corporate philosophy of development and community into an overall a... More

The rebirth of the Prague’s riverfront

The first part of the long-awaited revitalization of the Prague riverfront area called Náplavka is coming to completion, making it one of the most attractive public embankments in Europe. In autumn 2019, nineteen vaults on the Rašín and Hořejší Embankments will be put into use. Six will feature the biggest elliptical pivoting windows in the world, connecting the inner spaces with the riverfront area in a unique way, through the diagonal rotation of the five-meter wide glazed “lenses”. The other spaces will have distinct steel sculptural entrances. The area has gradually grown in popularity thanks to the program activation that began in 2008. One of its initiators was architect Petr Janda, the author of the architectural concept. The alm... More
