Richly appointed, our client’s condo on Nicollet Island presented the opportunity to create an atmosphere, spaces to display their art collection and a highly detailed primary suite.  JMAD JMAD JMAD JMAD Architect James McNeal started with the stair railing that connects the upper floor to the suite. The suite was tight on space, so we wanted to use details that would open up the space without eliminating any. Since the tub takes up so much space, we decided to make the tub an art and water feature - with a hand-carved dragon serving at the helm. The building was created as an attempt to recycle materials that we had available from previous constructions and from family members who had stored them for decades - larch terrace boards, spruce facade boards, profiles for the construction of the foundations, windows and most of the insulation materials. We were also able to borrow shroud boards, light equipment, etc., so the building was largely self-built with the help of friends and family. “Tetra Food Hall” is a three-level commercial building with the area of 600 m2. It’s located on Kianabad Street in Ahvaz with different functions such as café, restaurant and pastry bakery. The building was previously covered with a flat stone façade without any architectural values neighboring mostly tall brick buildings.  Loops, is an artistic-spatial installation at the heart of the recently-inaugurated Anna-Seiler-Haus building of the Bern’s University Hospital Inselspital designed to enchant and provide a memorable experience to visitors, patients and medical staff.
