The Biophilia Hypothesis, formulated by American biologist E.O. Wilson, posits that as humans, we have an affinity for nature ingrained into our DNA and that as a result, the way to feel most calm and safe when we are indoors is to be reminded of the outdoors.

Now, Designed Film brings this theory into your office building with our new Biophilia Privacy Film for corporate spaces. These films serve the primary purpose of privacy for conference rooms, offices, and more, while also promoting a calmer, more productive environment with graphics that are reminiscent of the beauty of the outdoors.

Our leaf graphics immediately conjure up images of a beautiful spring, summer, or autumn day. The leaves appear in various orientations and directions, indicating a gentle breeze to immediately bring a sense of calm to all who gaze upon the Biophilia Privacy Film.

Suit Your Decor’s Needs
You can customize your Biophilia Privacy Film’s size and opacity depending on your requirements and wishes. Whether you want to merely decorate an existing glass panel with a 3-inch strip or maximize privacy with a 60-inch barrier, a bit of nature will meet your eye every time you look around your business. Your options for height include:

- 3”
- 24”
- 30”
- 48”
- 60”
You’ll also be able to choose between fully opaque and semi-opaque, depending on how much privacy you desire for the room. More opacity means more layers during the manufacturing of the design: the more ink, the harder it is to see through. Each film features reliable 3M glass adhesive which allows for a clean and easy installation and ensures they’ll look great for many years.

Gradient Films

As opposed to our Biophilia Privacy Film, a gradient option offers gradual fading of the design (hence the name) and multiple degrees of opacity. The design can be:

Opaque in the center and transparent at the edges, or vice versa
Opaque at the top and transparent at the bottom, or vice versa
Vertical rather than horizontal, with lines in your choice of thickness with an appearance reminiscent of blinds
These options allow you to control the amount of sunlight coming into the room, as well as the areas of privacy.

Custom Films

Want even more options for your customization?  With our custom films, you can choose the opacity, as well as the:

Gradient
Design (The design on a film, such as a Biophilia design, functions separately from the privacy aspect of the screen; the obscuring element of the panel is decorated with the design of your choice)
Color (White is the most popular color for glass film installations and privacy films, but you can let a design show off a business’s or brand’s colors with our color management system)
