The installation of BARRISOL® ceilings is simple, clean and produces very little waste. Because the material is so light, it does not require modification of the overall building structure.

Because of its unique elastic properties, BARRISOL® can be removed and reinstalled numerous times without impacting its ability to remain in place for years to come. BARRISOL® is designed to stretch from wall to wall and can be installed in almost any shape. Each sheet is manufactured specifically for its own unique location and is mounted by placing the perimeter harpoon into the hanging rail.

Acoustic absorption involves reducing the energy of reflected sound waves within a space. The movement of air created by a sound source is partially absorbed and partially reflected by the BARRISOL® sheet. This absorption of the sound waves reduces reverberation. The BARRISOL® sheet material partially absorbs some of the sound energy. It takes the sound energy that it absorbs and converts it into thermal energy. This allows it to reduce reverberation while having very little physical mass.

BARRISOL® ACOUSTICS® is a unique sound absorbing medium that relies on the concept of micro-perforation. The micro-perforation converts sound energy into thermal energy. The friction of the air in each hole is increased by resonance in the air between the micro-perforated panel and the backing. The BARRISOL® ACOUSTICS® technology offers spectacular results.
