Domal Showroom, Milan
Domal, a brand of the Hydro group, opens the doors of its new showroom in Milan: a permanent space where you can discover the innovations in aluminum for the sustainable building envelope, such as windows, sliding doors and curtain walls. Partners of the exhibition space are also: WICONA, Axalta, Weese, Wuerth.

The project, conceived by the Milanese creative studio LASCIA la SCIA, undermines the idea of a technical-functional exhibition approach in favor of an experiential journey with a high emotional and scenographic impact. The aim is to accompany the visitor to discover the products inside of a welcoming environment, with a Nordic and informal atmosphere.

Tunnel Markovec - architecture of portal areas
Eastern Portal is located on north slope of Markovec, on southeren side of the Koper city centre beside city promenade "lungomare". Portal is designed as intervention in the urban city area and in the same time as a boundary in between highway area and protected area of the cliff Markovec. Architecture of the portal mimics geologycal slabs of the stone characteristic for this particular location.
Western portal is situated above Izola city. Architectural intervention deals with delicate vineyard area in Pivol valley. Terrain, local building typology and the desire for low interference with nature were the main generators of the portal design. Landmark portal design by Penda China brings a tinge of surrealism to a new city district
As part of a government masterplan seeking to spur the development of Jiangdon, a new district in Haikou City, Penda China has completed three portals providing access to a new tunnel. Built beneath the Nandu River, the tunnel spans 4,280 meters (14,370 feet) in length and 2, 720 meters (8,924 feet) in width. The tunnel connects Haikou City with Changmai County and Wenchang City as part of the overall economic integration of the area.

The sculptural portals are inspired by marine life forms, in particular white clamshells. Clad with glazed white aluminium panels, contrasting black lines follow the curving forms. The undersides of the canopies are likewise clad with the same white panelling.
