Bailo Museum

The restoration of the sixteenth-century convent in thehistorical centre of Treviso is the result of an internationaldesign contest that the Padua architect studio Studiomaswon with Heinz Tesar. The fluid, continuous museum itinerarybegins in a small square; the new façade leads to the firstcloister, the gallery – a distributive element that housesthe atrium and ticket office - and the exhibition rooms.The rarefied abstraction of the façade consists of fewelements: the dazzling white surfaces of the split-levels– in white marmorino and artificial stone – and the openings,the doors and windows, the borders of which have a singlemetal line that is flush with both the interior and exterior.Straight or arch-shape... Dance School

This is the refurbishment of a building built in 1965 along one of the main streets leading from the historic centre to the suburbs. A large construction that uses to host shops and apartments now is transformed into a dance school.The project focused on the strengths of the existing building: large volumes, horizontality, distinction between structure and perimeter walls, juxtaposition between voids and masses. Inside the project maintains the original commercial character, and thanks to few and careful actions it gains four wide rooms, changing rooms and waiting rooms. More

Casa San Polo

Built at the beginning of the XX century, Casa San Polo is an antique rural house located at the heart of the beautiful countryside of San Polo di Piave, close to Treviso. The original structure was made up of three floors. The lowest two floors were habitable, whereas the attic was used as a granary. This way of using the space is a typical feature of rural dwellings of that time, characterized by a steep central staircase and a symmetric development of the rooms. The house, abandoned for several years, totally lacked the roofing: all the wooden parts of the floors were completely damaged and also the masonry walls were compromised. Casa Crotta

Built by a Venetian noble family (e.g. Crotta) Casa Crotta, (former Dalle Crode, Tibolet) is likely an ancient hunting lodge of the XVII century. The house is part of the Regional Institute of Venetian Villas list and is situated in Arfanta’s hamlet, between the Tarzo’s hills, and is the first of series of rural buildings right in front of the municipal road. From a typological perspective, two distinctive floors compose the house but the habitative one is at the top. This is a characteristic that well explain the type of use for which the building was originally built (hunting lodge), because the house used to be exploited occasionally for few hours a day.
