Coastal Thin Building Stone
This highly durable thin exterior stone installs like tile, in a traditional ashlar pattern. Coastal Thin Building Stone comes in a pre-blend of three face heights (2-1/8", 3-5/8" and 6-1/8") and is only 1-1/8" to 1-1/2" thick. Coastal thin stone comes in a full range of 10 designer colours from white to very dark.
Arriscraft's calcium silicate Thin Building Stone is made using only natural materials - sand and lime (plus colour pigments). The unique manufacturing process replicates how stone is created in the earth - the raw elements bind naturally to create an inherently strong and fine grain stone. The University of Southern Indiana chose Arriscraft’s ARRIS-clip (thin-clad) Rainscreen Stone as they envisioned a modern facility that acknowledged and honored the older stone buildings on campus and also set a new course for the school moving into the future.
According to Cannon Design: this pivotal project for the University of Southern Indiana expanded and renovated the Physical Activities Center (PAC) to create a new building that serves as a campus icon, enhances student and student-athlete recruitment and bolsters athletics and associated academics programs
