Ripple table
Benjamin Hubert has designed the world’s lightest timber table as part of an internal studio research project into lightweight constructions. The table, titled Ripple, is 2.5 metres long, 1 metre wide, and weighs just 9 kilograms. Made using 70-80% less material than a standard timber table, Ripple can be assembled and manoeuvred by a single person. The table’s impressive strength to weight ratio is enabled by an innovative production process of corrugating plywood for furniture through pressure lamination, which was developed by Benjamin Hubert with Canadian manufacturer Corelam. This time the show organization comissioned our studio with the design of the building´s façade intervention, the wayfinding system for the event as well as exhibition space n ª 14: A gallery like hallway layed out as an excuse to bring closer to the eye the project executed at a larger scale in the exterior of the building.

Interactive Segmented Tables
My Interactive, Segmented Tables explore the boundaries between sculpture and furniture in a way that allows the user to alter their shape and/or function. Each of these low tables are made up of a series of identical segments sandwiched between two vertical support sections. After loosening the two disc shaped knobs mounted on the ends of the tables, each of the identical segments can be rotated into many different configurations around a center support rod. Each of the segments has one or more flat sides. To place something on the table, one or more of the segments can be rotated so the flat sides are up and horizontal. The idea for Table “T” goes back around a year and a half, but became “alive” just at the time to “poke” you during this years' Satellite in April.
Table of 160x92x72cm dimensions is a mixture of three materials: CORIAN Illumination Series, DUPONT as the main material, metallic black mat painted holding structure and massive wood as its' standing parts. The point was to combine CORIAN with other materials, and try to make it stable without its' usual “under-construction”. Basic geometric shapes seem to define Wonmin Park’s Haze Series. The entire object gives the impression that it unveils itself in front of us through the opaqueness of its parts. But our perception deceives us when we think it begins and ends there. Each Haze object carries within it a dissymmetry of form hidden from sight. A dissymmetry of form that is balanced out by the colours created in the unique casting process that gives birth to these objects. Table from 4 You By Vox collection combines new form with multi-functionality. It integrates users, allows to perform various tasks at the same time, encourages creative activities, has plenty of storage space. Double top with rounded edges is supported on angled wooden legs. The space between the tops is designed as storage, with six drawers, which come in two colours, white and oak (drawers are an additional, optional element). A characteristic feature of the new table is an oblong box in the middle of table top, which allows growing herbs, flowers, warming meals, storing cutlery, pencils, decorating with candles, etc. The containers can be closed, creating a smooth surface when we want to cover the table e.g. with a tablecloth.

This special one-off custom edition of the « Collage Tables » designed for Bonaldo have been specially made for the 30th Anniversary of the Magazine “Le Vif / Knack Weekend”.
It is basically a superposition of the hand sketch drawing of the table onto the final product itself.
Hens, the “sketch” representing the concept of the Collage Tables has been directly manually reproduced in 3D with a permanent marker. This creates a discussion between concept and reality.
The full elements are hatched, because of the sense of direction created, the movement and thus the logic of the original “Collage tables” is further highlighted.
