Can you guess what this jagged building is used for? With a glossy, seemingly-slippery façade, it could only be something really cool. Welcome to the Ondrej Nepela Arena, the home of ice hockey in Bratislava and the venue of the International Ice Hockey Federation 2011 World Championship. Completely remodelled on the historic site of what was Slovakia’s oldest ice hockey stadium, construction of the arena took over two years to complete, taking its capacity to over 10,000 seats.
