RTIC Control Room

A Real-Time Intelligence Center (RTIC) and a common emergency room for police, fire and ambulance. The common emergency room (police, fire and ambulance) is provided with high technology equipment which ensures that new forms of information, (such as a video wall which links images and joint actions from emergency services from the whole city together) can be better coordinated. Microsoft Innovation Center

How can we radically change the appearance of an existing building, marked by the dreadful popular success of a postmodernist aesthetics infamous for its easy play on historicism? How can we reflect its use as a training centre, as well as a leading technical centre, in the frontline for the development of virtual images? L.B. Landry High School

The Project Already suffering from the abuse of time and neglect, Landry High School was nearly destroyed after Hurricane Katrina swept through the area. After many believed the school would not reopen, Landry High School was chosen by The Federal Emergency Management Agency, Louisiana Recovery Authority and Recovery School District to receive funding and grants to rebuild the school. The Challenge Eskew+Dumez+Ripple, the architectural team, was challenged with designing a sustainable new high school that retained the old school's basic layout, with modern upgrades.
