Inspiration: The idea actually comes from the sunflower. I always have an interest in them. They follow the sun during the day rotating their faces to their precious. This project was born from that idea. The design and the rotating specification of the project integrates with nature from that aspect. Unique Properties / Project Explanation: Structures usually of villa style are positioned in nature, but settlements of the villas generally tend to cover the soil/earth. This Champagne Brown Acrylic Crystal Bead Curtain was created for the ‘Champagne Lounge’ at the Grand Cayman Island prestigious Car Museum in affiliation with London based Interior designer and Gallery Owner David Genty (http://www.genty.co.uk/). Here we have used various shapes of acrylic crystal beads all the while in keeping with the prominent color theme champagne in order to stay true to the essence of this space. Not only do the bead curtains here lend a sense of richness, warmth, royalty & depth, but they also help segregate the area from the larger museum creating a sense of privacy. k-house is a family unit which is a segment of a row house which was built in the 50’s for the working class under a social ideology of low cost and simplicity. At the present, this neighborhood of Tel Aviv which contains several models of this row house is being rejuvenated due to a new urban building scheme. As a result, the original apartments are permitted an additional volume which converts a 65m2 apartment on one level to a 200m2 on 2 levels with a pitched roof. Setter Architects offices are located in Tel Aviv.  The design derived from the desire to create wealth in materials and textures in order to create an inspiring work environment, yet a work environment that feels like home. The entire office is paved with a soft, textured carpet and gives a pleasant and homely feel. The front desk has a raw iron façade with a laser cut logo, corresponding to a Corten steel column and a library with an iron wire mesh front. The Secretariat Yangon is a 120-year old heritage building that was formerly the administrative seat of the British colonial government. As part of Yangon’s broader preservation efforts, this iconic building will be adaptively reused to house a new museum, galleries, offices, and retail spaces. Our conservation strategy and design was proposed in collaboration with Studio Architetti Croce.  More
