fluxodio

This project was designed by a company working in the field of blockchain, data expansion, and programming. The main idea of "communication" was chosen, which is derived from the structure of blockchain and the world today. In the design process, we used the "metabal" algorithm, which is a representation of this communication and convergence, to connect the required user interfaces. Since the path or communication routes are important in this communication, we tried to design a mysterious and unpredictable path. The overall form of the space also looks into the future world. We tried to give the interior architecture its own independent personality to grow alongside its own independent office. The use of colored glasses, borrowed from Irani... More

MAHTABI House

Mahtabi House, by the Iranian architect, Habibeh Madjdabadi, revives the local traditions, while in clear contrast with the surrounding buildings. Mahtabi, literally, “lit by the moon” in Persian, is the name of the Iranian traditional terraces, where the people use to sleep at night, while enjoying the summertime starry nights. Habibeh Madjdabadi Architecture Studio Plot is located outside the old town of Golpayegan, a city in the central part of Iran with mountainous and variable climate: warm in summer and cold in winter. The barren neighboring urban context is made of irrelevant newly built box-shaped residential buildings with poor quality grey stone facades. The architect says, “In the neighborhood there was... Hoxton Apartment

Level Apartment is a residential fit-out of an apartment within an industrial building in Hoxton, London. The design uses level changes, sliding walls and transparency to host a range of activities in a single flowing space. A concise material palette of oak and ceramics create clear and simple forms that accentuate the scale of the existing form, while also offering a warm contrast to the concrete shell. Material Works _ Fred Howarth Material Works _ Fred Howarth The design replaced a more cellular layout, characterised by dingy back rooms, no storage and no space for home-working. The new design overcomes these problems by re-positioning the kitchen at the heart of a full depth open space benefitting from existing perimeter gla... More

Stenciled Facade

The client brief was to design a commercial complex on a very prominent and busy road in a tight urban site. The fact that due to massive urban development in last two decades, the green cover of city has depleted drastically. We took it as a challenge to provide the inmates with open lung spaces and create a buffer between the inmates and the busy, noisy, polluted node in the city, especially after the pandemic.  A.J Architects  What struck us most was the presence of a huge tree on site. These two characteristics helped us formulate the generative diagram for the conception of the project. We decided to conceive the plan, such that the building weaves around the existing tree, not just physically but also phenomenally in a... More

Tūrama, Kristin School Sports Hall

Tūrama, meaning ‘enlightenment’ or ‘to illuminate’, designed for Kristin School, is a beautiful multipurpose indoor sports facility. Mark Scowen The brief from the client was simple, design a sports hall that is not a sports hall! Having used PVC canopies to cover other sports courts, the school did not want to replicate them again due to issues of wind, water ingress, noise and condensation. But the budget was not high enough for a sports hall – hence the brief. Mark Scowen To resolve the issue, we proposed a beautiful lightbox made from lightweight materials that would let in natural daylight, stop wind, rain and condensation and absorb noise using acoustic lining. Mark Scowen The structure... More
