High-rise mixed-use tower

The challenge of building on a sloping corner site became an opportunity for Perkins&Will São Paulo to dare with the horizontal and vertical connections brought by ARQ by You, Inc Vila Mariana. The building consists of two volumes connected by a pedestrian-permeable ground floor. The area maximizes the enjoyment created by active facades along an internal path integrated with the public walkway. With abundant natural ventilation, benches, and flower beds, the ground floor proposes a reinterpretation of a public square, providing shelter from rain for a significant part of its extension. Hooghout is a residential building that was a joint private commission developed by the construction group Het Hooghout. The building contains homes, a commercial space and an underground car park. RiverSky is a 517-unit condominium project overlooking the Fraser River on the Quay, a growing hub of the New Westminster waterfront.The project consists of two mirroring towers on top of a 6-story retail and parking podium, typical of the Vancouver building typology. The podium provides a “ships promenade deck” of outdoor amenity spaces partially sheltered by a rooftop structure that frames views through to the water and beyond. Vision on Wilshire rises 18 stories above Los Angeles’ iconic Wilshire Boulevard and offers unobstructed views of the area including the Hollywood Hills and downtown Los Angeles. A simple shifting of the project’s massing creates the appearance of two slender towers. This move also helps to define the corner of Wilshire and Crescent Heights, establishing a welcoming entry plaza for the project. Nurol Tower is situated Sisli district of Istanbul, next to the highway connecting the two banks of city via the Bosporus Bridge. The tower designed with a flexibility to allocate offices in different scales has 30 floors rising above a base of five floors. Jing’an Ronghui Plaza consists of two towers, one high-end residential buildings and serviced apartments. The programme is distributed within four individual volumes. The residential and office towers - linked by a ground floor retail layer - are placed across the site to optimise sun orientation and reduce the casting of shadows on the plot, while simultaneously reducing impact on the surrounding buildings. Icon Yunduan Tower is a 192-metre-high hybrid building located in a high-tech zone on the outskirts of the city of Chengdu, China.
