IPG Mediabrands, a group of global dynamic marketing agencies, needed a modern work environment in Amsterdam that would stimulate creation, innovation and cooperation. For this, Tétris Netherlands designed an industrial style environment where grey and brown tones stand out.One of the locations where employees can retire to rest is the one that includes the Kriskadecor chains as a space divider. On this occasion Tétris used the Earth pattern, which adds glamor and texture to the room.The fun black and uneven frame emphasizes the space created in the curtains, that serves as an access door, and combines perfectly with the idea of innovation that prevails in the business group.Design by Tétris Netherlands.Photos by Niels Kramer. Altis Belém Hotel & Spa
Risco Architects have completed a stunning hotel alongside the docks in Belém, Lisbon. The Altis Belém Hotel & Spa is a three-story building situated directly on the the Bom Sucesso waterfront. This 5-star, 50 room hotel also overlooks the Belém Cultural Centre and offers a number of facilities intended to support water sports.
The two level main structure, lies perpendicular to the Tagus in such a way as to make best use of the views across the city and the estuary. The architects designed the building to avoid all visual obstacles along the axis between the Belém Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries.

University of Lucerne’s Main Building
Starting with the Lucerne Central Station, which was built in 1985 by the architectural bureau Ammann und Baumann and its employee at that time Santiago Calatrava, the city of Lucerne began a radical modernisation of the quarter stretching eastwards from the station to Lake Lucerne. The Culture and Congress Centre designed by Jean Nouvel, with its wide overhanging roof, has stood at the lakeside since 2000, and directly next to it, the University’s new main building has recently been completed.
