‘Wood You Believe?’ recycles four tons of post-consumer wooden objects
Wood You Believe?, an installation created by CRA-Carlo Ratti Associati and architect Italo Rota for Gruppo Saviola, made its debut at the 61st edition of the Salone del Mobile in Milan.

Renders of the installation, published previously here on Archello, were brought to life by CRA Make at the Fiera Milano exhibition center. Four tons of post-consumer wooden objects were fixed to the facades of a large cubical structure. The physical installation called attention to the very real issue of waste materials in the furniture industry.

‘Wood You Believe?’ installation at Salone del Mobile 2023 calls attention to wood waste
Wood You Believe?, a new installation for Salone del Mobile 2023, is an exploratory collaboration by eco-ethical company Gruppo Saviola, design and innovation practice CRA-Carlo Ratti Associati, and architect Italo Rota. Conceived as an experimental space, the project transforms four tons of post-consumer wooden objects into a structure that calls attention to wood waste. It also features an immersive room that highlights the potential of digital printing as a way of achieving impactful and sustainable bespoke designs. This timely installation questions how design can act to reduce waste and at the same time be inspired by it.

Ezinge
For the education park Ezinge, designed by Atelier PRO architekten, Driessen + Van Deijne made a design of digitally printed glass. The facades, with the dimensions 11 x 21 meter and 18 x 21 meter, opposed to each other, accompany a centrally positioned rising ‘tower’.
This part of the building is at the heart of a field, a location for ‘CKV’ subjects, as fine arts, design, music and theatre.
Creativity and imagination play a key role in the vision on education within the school community of Ezinge.
The education philosophy, the function and the location were leading for the designed plan Driessen + Van Deijne made.

Manor Hotel
On June 10, 2011 the Hampshire Hotels opened the doors of the new four-star Manor Hotel - Hampshire Eden. This former Civil Hospital has beenfully restored to its original condition, with trendy interior. Commissioned by Aedes Real Estate we helped creating that with different BN collections: BN Digital Printing, BN Fusion & Suwide en BN Residential Wallcoverings. FeranHugo Interior Design designed the Eden Amsterdam Manor Hotel and used the knowledge of BN Wallcoverings for a special theme on thewalls.

Blooming Hotel
Creative and quirky, that’s the image of Blooming Hotel. The hotel has a beautiful location in the dunes, and is therefore a fantastic place to stay. The special designs and the beautiful colors give the Hotel a great atmosphere. The 800m2 Digital Printing of BN are the eyecatchers in the interior of the Blooming Hotel. Al these Digital Wallcoverings are designed by Dutch textile and interior designer Edward van Vliet. He has used atmosphere, color and materials to emphasize the philosophy of the hotel (art, nature and culture) and it’s natural surroundings. This has created unity between the various buildings comprising refurbished central reception area, conference rooms, restaurant and hotel-rooms.
