The new Telefónica Diagonal ZeroZero Tower was defined by Jaques Herzog as the 'minaret that the Forum building needed'. It is a 110-metre high tower, adjacent to this building, situated at number zero on Avenida Diagonal in Barcelona. The position of the tower is exceptional because it is situated at the beginning of the Diagonal avenue, is very visible from the city and the coast, and is on the fringe of the consolidated part of the city and the large public spaces in the Fórum area. Tower Wharf is in the east of London's South Bank cultural area in the London Borough of Southwark. It is a building with a prominent tower containing a set of design, arts and crafts shops on the ground and first floors with two galleries. The gallery located at the bottom of the Oxo Tower Wharf is known for its photography, contemporary design, architecture and issue-based exhibitions. For Media Sagan, architects conducted extensive reform of the outside of the building, including the arches which characterize the facade. They generously provide natural light, hidden as needed by elegant curtains hung between stone walls of the old and new woodwork. In Aspholz, Zurich a seven story student residence has been built to accommodate 332 students in 30 apartments and 11 studios, making it the largest of its kind in Zurich. For the project, Darlington Meier Architects had Iranian-born Swiss artist and photographer, Shirana Shahbazi, design the external screens. She is renowned for her work with typically vibrant colours around the world. Sports and recreation centre Nekkerpool (serving the province of Antwerp in Belgium) offers a range of indoor and outdoor activities, and the addition of a swimming pool to the programme will make the package even more complete. The architects challenge was to seize the opportunity to give the Nekker recreation centre as a whole a facelift, in addition to designing a modern and sustainable swimming pool.
