The Kalba Beach development sits on the coast east of the Dubai Metropolitan Area and is part of an urban oasis that extends for over a mile along the shoreline. The project’s most visible feature will be its rammed earth construction, a material that is gaining popularity with environmentally-conscious architects and constructors. 3deluxe Described as a “biophilic neighborhood of rammed earth structures,” the development’s fifteen buildings will house a number of amenities, including a mix of established and local restaurants, cafes, and kiosks. Málaga Towers

Views of the Mediterranean sea, light, air, sustainability. Eight Bells Residence

Sun, wind and light - these elements are central to our design work, however our response to them differs from place to place.  This project, situated on an ocean-front site at 25 degrees N latitude, is exposed to extreme ocean winds and intense sunlight.  Additionally, the building site is 12 feet above sea level, subjecting it to potential coastal storm surge.  These site factors greatly influenced our design response for this retreat home, to be built for an American family of five. Our design solution features careful placement of openings to avoid wind, and the ability to manage wind via carefully placed operable window-walls.  Intense sunlight is managed through shading of all dwelling areas, inside and out.  ... "We should all have a seaview life"

At the first inspection, the large apartment located on the top floor of a building from the sixties appeared as a collection of large rooms where time had stood still; a dark and dismal environment despite the spaciousness, not only because of the winter light. The challenge was launched: to divide the large housing unit to obtain two units that, with half the space but multiplied light and functionality (without making changes to existing window surfaces!), conveyed through every detail the privileged feeling of staying at the beach. This project describes the unity that, organized in just 55 gross sqm, through the use of lines, colors and assembled surfaces to expand the spatiality, accompanies the visitor all the way from the entrance o... Vacation Compound Design

Affordable and sustainable, this Vacation Compound Design in Khamis Mushait, Saudi Arabia, is a modern chalet designed on a plateau with lush vegetation. It consists of two-story homes that can be rented out by tourists and visitors. The layout of these homes leaves the private areas (three bedrooms) on the first floor, while the public spaces are on the ground. The openings are kept minimal to keep the interior cool, while the outdoor spaces (like sitting and playing areas) provide socializing opportunities. More
