The project carried out to house the new facilities and production plant of Aceites Urzante, responds to the needs of technological innovation, energy saving and reduction of environmental impact.
Umetal intervenes in the project with the treatment of the main facade, providing value from different perspectives. On one hand, it manages to respond to the will of aesthetic and landscape integration of the building. But, in addition, in a poetic language, plays with the concept of origin of the product (olive trees) reproducing a photograph of olive trees in large format. The treatment of the image, pretends to break with the common advertising concept, with the expression of a real photography. And for that reason the perforated plate used as a support, presents quirks and folds with which the real becomes abstract. The facade reflects the aesthetics of a vegetal façade, and in itself it is one more characteristic of the identity of the Aceites Urzante company, transmitting care for the origin of its product and for the environment.
The folded perforated plate becomes the double skin of the building, contributing to the energy efficiency and comfort of the people who work inside it. It filters the entrance of light and allows workers to enjoy the exterior light and the activity that takes place there, while maintaining intimacy.
