The basic colour scheme for Twice as nice is the new, harmonious colour Satin cashmere for lacquer, laminate and glass finishes which was first unveiled at Living Kitchen 2015. It is used in combination with the intense shade Oranje. This is used in the contour shelves facing the open-plan living space and the small pantry kitchen in the functional area of the dining space. The use of soft matt cashmere grey for the fronts, worktop and side panels gives them the impression of being cast from a single mould. This kitchen emphasises communication and social interaction. It achieves this by integrating a room divider with service hatch that serves as a visual separation to the eating area without completely severing the connection. The use of granite for the worktop strengthens the feeling of sophistication. Recessed wall units build a suspenseful counterpoint and connection to the service hatch on the opposite side of the kitchen. The combination of different worktop surfaces such as silestone, granite or side panel finishes, and the use of a variety of worktop thicknesses increases the level of suspense. A particularly practical feature: A functional channel with equipment boxes is easily integrated into the service hatch.
