Ramen is a stackable and playful contemporary dining chair whose form is reminiscent of specific utensils. Features of a dining experience are reflected through an exploration of form, which give the piece its character and name. Traditional joining techniques are paired with CNC digital fabrication to produce accurate moulds to form the veneer that makes up the saddle and backrest. Local fallen White Ash was used for the frame and Monarch Custom Plywood generously supplied the ash veneer to complete this project.
