You don’t have to be a Latinist to understand that ‘Ostrea’ translates as ‘oyster’. Designer Matthias De Ferm was probably enjoying a savoury seafood platter when he envisioned the lines of this highly original chair. Moreover, he managed to translate these organic shapes into a chair with exceptional ergonomics. It takes an artist to roll, bend and weld stainless-steel tubes into this extraordinary masterpiece. Luckily Royal Botania can rely on the expertise of quite a few of these craftsmen. Two cushion options are available for the Ostrea: a roundish seat cushion or a full surface padding that copies both the shape and the ribs of the shell. Rest assured that you and your guests will enjoy a comfortable, laid-back dining experience.
