Sunderland Royal Hospital ICCU
The new state of the art ICCU at Sunderland Royal Hospital is part of a new £28m ward block at the hospital and is seen as a model of excellence within the NHS as it includes hi-tech technology, incorporating the most advanced electronic patient monitoring systems available. The Integrated Critical Care Unit (ICCU) includes high dependency single bed units, isolation single bed units and general postoperative single bed units. A new high dependency is placed on ICCU to separate theater staff and nursing staff to eradicate the chances of contamination spreading between the two sections. LC SmartGlass LC SmartGlass toughened panels were used to create a state of the art partitioning system along the corridors of the ICCU.
Canary Wharf, located at the West India Docks in the Borough of Tower Hamlets in East London, is home to the European headquarters of numerous major banks, professional services firms and media organizations including Barclays, Citigroup, Clifford Chance, HSBC, State Street, KPMG, Skadden and Thomson Reuters. The main feature of the venue is the impressive arched glass atrium which measures 27 meters at its highest point. The gallery, suspended above the main floor, can accommodate up to 120 guests seated and 250 for a reception type event. The gallery makes a great alternative space for smaller functions and drinks receptions where guests can still enjoy the striking architecture of the East Wintergarden. LC SmartGlass was specified for this project to allow instant and precise privacy control when an event is taking place.
Eccleston Square Hotel is a new, hi-tech, luxury, boutique design hotel bordering Belgravia in the heart of Central London SW1. Historical on the outside yet timeless on the inside, Eccleston Square Hotel is an elegant fusion of old meets new. The state of the art hotel was designed by Woods Bagot to facilitate director Olivia Byrne’s vision of uncompromising luxury and technology. The design brief centered on creating bright open spaces filled with plenty of light. SmartGlass International’s LC SmartGlass was used to create a partition separating bedroom and bathroom in each room.
