KnirPurl Plissee Felt Acoustic Collection

Gone are the days when couture was confined to redefining the female form with bold and expressive silhouettes. In the new era of textile design, couture has entered living spaces to set new boundaries with beautifully engineered interior textiles for the future.

The era of social distancing calls for us to rethink the past. It's time to embrace not only aesthetics but also functionality, to create products that consider society and the current situation to bring back joy into everyday life.

KnitPurl's sculptural appearance was inspired by knit and purl loops and Medici collars which are resembled in the object's double-faced form.

Its dramatic voluminous pleated form redefines room acoustics with bold and expressive silhouettes. It sustains its elegance while serving its purpose of absorbing sound and formaldehyde.

The masked metal frame enables easy installation in any direction or side, by mounting it to walls, suspending it from ceilings, hanging it freely as a design screen to divide spaces or set it up as a table, while also enabling it to be easily taken down, maintained or moved.

KnitPurl with its corrugated curved tunnel structure sucks sound effectively, resulting in superb acoustic properties. Properties further accentuated by the tunnels facing the sound source, inviting and filtering to reduce echo time and difference in noise level.

The collection includes wall panels, room dividers, baffles, lamps, wall lights, pin boards, tables, baskets etc. in various heights, sizes and over 40 colors. Also available in LeatherFelt.

Additional features include adjustable steel-ropes, glass tops and legs or castors for tables, pins etc.

Handmade locally, in a solar-powered working environment, from natural, renewable, fully biodegradable woolfelt (OEKO-TEX®), a natural absorbent of sound, airborne toxins and formaldehyde as well as an antibacterial agent; naturally flame-retardant and without any harmful substances.

Woolfelt, with its astounding environmental friendliness, holds insulating properties and a natural ability of breathing, in the sense of absorbing and releasing moisture from the air, acting as a natural air conditioning - reducing energy wasted by heating and air conditioning.

For a breathable and healthier environment.
