Our ‘Waves’ design is a textured wall panel made from reclaimed Olive wood.
Wood from the olive tree is excellent wood. It is a hard wood and has a splendid grain. The core of the trunk is a creamy-brown colour, with dark or black streaks. The grain can be wavy, burl or wild. The texture is fine and uniform with a natural lustre.
Wonderwall Studios uses the big pruned branches for its collections. Occasionally we’ll source a complete tree, but as these are rare we mostly rely on the pruned branches. The permissions needed to fell a tree or to buy pruned branches are time-consuming, but absolutely necessary: the tree is an important economic resource. We respect this process and always regard receiving a new batch... Meer
