Flexible rental The building is divided into several large and smaller units that are rented as an office. Jos Bolmers of Estates Europe B.V. rents with his company approximately 150m2. Jos Bolmers: “The concept is based on renting on short and medium terms. From month to month or for one or more years. Entirely depending on the need. Units range in area from 10m2 to 164m2. Nice for starters, but also for larger companies who want to have flexible spaces to work. It’s all based on flexibility in rental period and in the number of square meters.”
Concrete look The building of ZAPP is fully implemented in an industrial ‘look and feel’, with different concrete elements. Jos Bolmers: “We didn’t want it to be contrived, or conflicting with the concrete ceiling. The print is very nice and has conducted a natural look. When people come here, they instantly touch the walls to check if it’s real concrete.”
Suwide Lima For the long wall is chosen for the new Suwide collection Lima. Jos Bolmers: “The collection was not even on the market when I saw the first samples. I found it so gorgeous that I immediately knew I wanted it. It has a special effect by the subtle blocks and gloss effects. There is a certain reflection in which it begins to live. I chose this silver blue tint because I thought it was a nice, soft, even color. I knew it would be a nice background for the triptych by Hans Klaui.”
Digitals They also used Digitals. They chose two different pictures from the Wallhalla collection, designed by designer Feran Thomassen. In the Secretariat, the ‘soft’ implementation of Florals and in the Boardroom the industrial implementation of Metals. In addition they have also chosen custom made wallcoverings. Jos Bolmers: “I think the architecture of Rotterdam is beautiful, so we have a panorama picture of the Rotterdam skyline on the wall. This photo was taken by photographer Paul Martens and aligns perfectly with our business; property management.”
