The Park plan has been developed in the Municipality of Spata, at the end of Attiki Avenue towards the direction of Rafina, in direct conjunction with McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Athens and near Attica Zoological Park.
“Smart Park” is the first Retail Park in Greece to combine open-air leisure public areas with shopping. The park is situated on a land covering 91 acres. 30 acres of this land have been turned into green areas. The whole project will be developed in two phases. In its first phase, a retail area of approximately 35,000 square meters has already opened its doors in October 2011, hosting significant retail brand names, such as Jumbo, Carrefour, Kotsovolos.
(Dixons), Hondos Center, Intersport and H&M. Also, all the necessary infrastructures for the whole project have already been designed and constructed. Additionally, open to the public are the play grounds, the parking areas and many other smaller stores. In its second phase, a retail area of 15,000 square meters, will host Village Cinemas and Praktiker.
The complex has been constructed, across a pedestrian street, 19.00 meters wide, with direction from east to west, starting from the parking area and ending at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet. In order the Park to distinguish for its aesthetics, the architectural team has focused on the designing of the facades. As a result, the facades stand out for their originality and their harmonious integration into the surrounding environment. The internal sides of the complex, the sides facing towards the central pedestrian street, bear a "ventilated facade", paneled with ceramic tiles. The remaining sides are covered with thermal insulating metal panels.
The landscaping of the external space generates an interesting "public place", safe for the pedestrians and especially for the children, which due to its accessibility, attracts visitors from the whole prefecture.ll
