This new complex in Williamsburg will feature twenty (20) loft-style residences, located a block from the waterfront. The complex is comprised of four separate apartment buildings. The challenge was to create a high quality living environment within the constraint of a 60 foot site depth. This former industrial area of Brooklyn was re-zoned to permit the creation residential and mixed-use development.
The buildings’ design as row houses maximizes the small site by emphasizing vertical space. Unique solution allows all four buildings to share one common mechanical space, yielding more room within the individual apartments throughout.
The structure of the buildings utilizes light gauge steel framing, which maximizes the interior space of the units. The building is clad in custom aluminum panels with double height windows. Some features include off-site parking spaces for each unit, common roof terraces and a retail space.
