Vitra

Studio Daniel Libeskind as Architects

Vitra, a multi-faceted, luminous glass tower with a sculptural shape in São Paulo, Brazil, is Daniel Libeskind’s first project in South America. The building will include 14 apartments, one per floor plus a two-floor penthouse — from 565 to 1,145 square meters. The main distinction is that each unit’s floor plan will be unique.

Vitra will stand on Horácio Lafer Av., in the Itaim Bibi district, between Salvador Cardoso St. and Lopes Neto St. Near Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek Av. and Brigadeiro Faria Lima Av, one of the city’s main thoroughfares. The site offers quick and easy access to several leisure sites such as the Ibirapuera and Do Povo parks.

VITRA

PSA Arquitetura as Architects

In partnership with Studio Daniel Libeskind for the Vitra building design, PSA managed to combine a 20-years-expertise in the Brazilian residential architecture with an American interference in the composition of the facades, creating a suitable project to its context and innovative in its composition. The apartments have a contemporary program with a welcoming design, which seeks the welfare of their inhabitants, with views of the Parque do Povo and the skyline of the most globalized São Paulo district. The project adopted sustainable practices since its conception. There were implanted capture system and reuse of rainwater, solar panels for water heating, air-conditioning and elevators with materials that contribute to reduce energy use and optimized waste management at the construction site.Furthermore, the use of reflective glass prevents the transfer of temperature between outside and inside, providing greater thermal comfort to the inhabitants of a building featured by the intense use of glass. Contemporary architecture that has become a reference in São Paulo.
