The aim of the project is to create a residential villa integrated with an extraordinary landscape of the forest of Milanowek, near Warsaw preserving the existing trees. The project’s lot is in fact characterized by presence of nearly thirty high secular trees.
After a careful series of botanical examinations we have elaborated a diagram that considers the health of the trees, their future growth, the diameter of their roots and volumes of foliage of the different species.
The concept predicts four functional corps, designed on two levels, each with a sloping roof, assembled and connected around the existing trees. The openings of the corps are full height and full width, researching the southern and zenithal natural light.
The project provides a winter-garden solution, that due to greenhouse effect of the double skin in glass (the internal layer with double glazing thermal cut glass and the external one with open joint simple glass), creates thermal isolation comparable to a normal brick wall, guaranteeing at the same time a maximum inside-outside visual transparency and relation with the garden and the forest.
