ARCHELLO YOUR CONNECTION WITH ARCHITECTURE

After almost 20 years of discussions the new Central Station i Uppsala was inaugurated in 2010. The station is box-shaped with vertical façade-bands of black steel and glass and has direct access to the old station building. Parts of rail gives relief to the façade and emphasizes the verticality further. The interior passage connects the street level to the walkway under the railway tracks. Tetrahedron-shaped lanterns give daylight to the interior of the building.
