UB HOUSE

Alejandro Restrepo Montoya as Architects

Between patios, thresholds and views

This house is located in a sloped zone and has 3 different levels all viewing towards the city in a continuous connection between the interior space and the environment surrounding the house.

The experience begins at the threshold that contains the service zone. The access of the house is located between two volumes that conform the entire compound of the house.

Then, after crossing this, follows is the Tree patio that with its 3 different levels and shadow games relates every single space of the house.

The social zone of the house is located at the bottom level, having a complete integration with the environment. The private zones are located in the access level (medium) and in the top level, and from them the city is also available to be seen.

The contrasts between lightness and strength produced by materials and colors give the house the appearance that it is floating over the ground.
