Tudor Street Helical Staircase

The Tudor Street staircase is an unsupported elliptical construction designed for international law firm Jones Day. Elite Metalcraft provided the entire stair structure including the curved glass balustrade to the staircase and surrounding floor edge. The stone treads were supported on individually shaped mild steel trays, each formed with a facetted underside using a varying angle fold. We believe that Elite are the only company with the manufacturing skill to achieve such a complex tread design on this scale. This project was completed within the program timescale and was greatly admired by the client who considered the staircase the focal point of their London headquarters refurbishment.
