The main objectives of this study were: the creation of a building that is linked harmoniously with the environment, a clear layout reflecting the area and the separation of operations.
The structures are developed along the length of the vertical axes following the pedestrian pathways on the east. The reception space is multifunctional with double height ceiling and uses extensive sun parlors for natural lighting. It separates and unifies the different functional areas (offices, halls, library), while simultaneously joining the building with a planned square and the outside spaces. There is access to the green area and the residential area.
The oblong wing of offices with northern orientation is the limit of the building to the north, whilst the front of the building faces west with an area where small events can be held.
The western facing library and the multi-purpose chambers make good use of an escalation of height. This progressive use of height is continued in the municipal council’s meeting room, the central entrance and the spaces in general. The buildings create a transparency of communication between the public and the workings of the municipality.
