TTT

Curiosity as Architects

Tokyo is a city of contrast and discovery. The “ttt” guest room in the new build tower expresses the emotions of walking through of tokyo. Three emotions are the caracteristics of the space: reflection, contrast and harmony.

Reflections: the modern tokyo is a gallery of mirrors, building and windows reflect each other creating a virtual city, what is real, what is a reflection what is digital. People appear and diseappear between buildings, life become a game in a maze of images. The space of “reflection” is a constant discovery of scenes, an impression of infinity and magic. The warm metallic feel of bronze glass and wallnut walls bring a touch of moder luxuary. Harmony: Within the complexity and craze of tokyo, a subtle harmony exist, a combination of tradition and futuristic simplicity. The “harmony” guest room, recreate this balances with the use of sakura pink glass. The pink glass layer composes the interior, creating a strange but familiar feeling. The large bathroom in black larva stone is enclosed with the sakura glass, become a relaxing and intimate space.

Contrast: The lounge that will be used by the guests is a double floor high space, the dynamic of the space reminds of an hotel lobby, with a large lighting suspended from the ceiling. The strong green color of the glass simulates the nature of a digital garden unexpected to be found on the 54th floor of a high tower.
