An apartment building which catches the eye – the futuristic-looking relief of a facade in Berlin was transferred to the garage door and other doors provided by Käuferle. In order to integrate the doors as harmoniously as possible into the design of the facade they were initially covered with perforated metal sheeting, which ensures natural ventilation for the garage. Aluminium sections with spacers of around eight mm were then attached to the perforated sheeting. This provided the surface with impressive depth and a three-dimensional effect. The situation of the building was also favourable for the installation of Käuferle products. The building is located right on the edge of the pavement. In order to avoid endangering passers-by with a garage door opening outwards, the client decided in favour of Käuferle’s “NA-perfekt” tilting door, which opens inwards. During opening and closing the door does protrude beyond the threshold.
