We have completed a number of workplace design projects for this California-based technology company. This project converts a tired and poorly-branded space within a business park campus into an attractive and welcoming IT help desk - the “IT Pit Stop” together with a new staff café space.
The IT Pit Stop is part of Symantec’s new philosophy of bringing their IT help desk function into the front office with direct accessibility to their staff. The retail design ambience of the environment and the high quality of support service encourages staff to bring in their mobile-working devices, discuss technical issues, upgrade their systems and understand new technology devices and services. The audio visual system is loaded with interactive video games to encourage staff to come into the facility and the adjacent cafe brings an energy and buzz to the area. This pilot design is proving to be very successful and will be rolled out in other locations.
