Taormina's old town centre is densely packed and highly stratified. Designing and renovating buildings there poses numerous restrictions and limits free architecture expression. Planned the renovation and furnishing of a building of 25 square meters could be considerably reduced in a unresolved exercise of style. Organize functions so that they make the optimal use of all available space, in a situation in which “space is luxury” without compromising comfort characterized the challenge to be met. The key intuitions in this project were the possibility of raising the roof to free up space for daytime activities. “Space is luxury” repeats the writing under the bed. A fixture framing the door can be opened up to become an extension of the table onto the balcony, returning to its original function as a door frame when closed “A few square meters in the city centre” will prompt me to ask again: “Space is luxury?”.
