The Set Design project

Marco Rocha as Architects

The exhibition is located on the Museum's second floor characterized by an apparently vacant industrial aesthetic. The concept for the set design were the process of lining and the architectural model of 'Pombaline cage', in Lisbon downtown where the Museum is situated. Marco Rocha Set Design reveals the conceptualization of the construction processes characterized by volumes coated in tailor lining, suspended pinewood cages and industrial plastic pallets.

Objects are displayed between the suspended cages interposed by the ethereal illuminated industrial pallets both condensing and diverging exhibition circuits where a wide range of design disciplines can be seen.

The Set Design is materialized by these deconstructed arguments, emphasizing the academic and design processes. Conceptualizing a space design in which the spectator sees constructive process, prototypes and final objects in display.

The exhibition curator is Mario Matos Ribeiro (founder of Moda Lisboa - Lisbon Fashion Week) and will remain open to the public until February 23, 2014.
