The Coal Biomass Fired Power Plant project involves the design of non-process buildings, the most important of which is the services building.
This will house various essential support functions, such as the access areas, workshops, indoor storage areas, offices, a laboratory and the control center. The design addresses the interests of sustainability in three ways. First, it provides for neutral energy consumption by reclaiming the residual energy of the generating process itself. Second, it calls for the use of ‘cradle to cradle’ materials and resources. Last but not least, particular attention has been devoted to the interior and environmental quality of the building itself.
