The Rozentuinen constitutes a small part of De Groote Wielen, a major new development in Rosmalen. The project involves the building of 119 terraced houses by the construction firm Dura Vermeer Bouw, commissioned by Woningstichting Zayaz (a housing corporation) and Delta Lloyd Vastgoed. The neighbourhood has an urban-rural feel to it, with many hofjes (former almshouses with courtyard gardens) and lots of water and greenery. Leijh Kappelhoff Seckel, of Den Dobbelsteen architects, designed the social and market rental housing, making playful references to the 1930s in terms of its style and design. Nevertheless, a great deal of use was made of modern building methods and materials too. Driessens is very pleased with the choice of the Corona CT70 synthetic profiles of Schüco. The residents and stakeholders are highly enthusiastic about the spacious layout, the feel and the quite luxurious finish.
