ROXUL® solutions are where design meets performance... as part of yet another largescale highprofile commercial project in North America. ROXUL solution CurtainRock® is now part of the newly completed 53-storey Ritz-Carlton Residence Tower - located on the edge of Toronto's entertainment district.
CurtainRock® is a stone wool semirigid insulation board, specifically designed for use in curtain wall applications. The product can be fabricated with a reinforced foil facing and used as a component of UL approved backpan, shadow box and mechanically fastened systems.
Made from basalt rock and steel slag, the product is naturally fire resistant and ideal for fire-rated curtain wall applications. The Curtain Wall family of products CurtainRock ®, CurtainRock® 40 and CurtainRock® 80 all meet the ASTM E136 & CAN4 S114 approvals for noncombustibility as well as ASTM E84 (UL 723) and CAN/ULC S102 contributing zero flame and zero smoke development. CurtainRock® 40 and CurtainRock® 80 also comply with ASTM E2307/E119 Perimeter Fire Barrier Systems and are New York City MEA approved.
All ROXUL products deliver fire-resistance, water resistance and long-term stable R-values, helping to ensure optimum building performance. CurtainRock® also contributes to LEED® points for sustainable development.
