Residential Care Facility Bessemerberg Lanaken

STRABAG Belgium was responsible for the construction of the new residential care facility (RCF), Bessemerberg, in Lanaken on the ZOL campus Sint-Barbara in Lanaken: the third residential care home for the non-profit organisation Huize Sint-Anna. A huge amount of attention has been paid to the residential function. The living areas benefit a lovely view over the green environment and the inside-outside relationship plays a major role. A lot of natural light incidence was created thanks to the use of warm and soft materials. The residential care centre includes 120 beds, 3 care sections, a common activities zone and space for logistics and administration. STRABAG Belgium realized the turnkey completion including techniques of this residential care centre. The project covers 26,000 m³ and the total surface area is approximately 9,000 m².
