SureSet Resin Systems as Manufacturers

Background Planning applications were proposed to Cambridge Council to build a new housing development with 2,300 new dwellings. The aim was to develop spaces that the existing community and potentially the new residents would use having a sense of pride and ownership whilst feeling like one development. The proposed plans for the new development were approved early this year.

Solution To use sustainable and durable products that would coordinate safe and welcoming walkways throughout the development and create spaces with challenging yet inspirational play environments for all ages to enjoy. Artist Simon and Tom Bloor were working with Cambridge Council to design various coordinating pathways that would lead residents and children to these interesting areas. The pathways were installed using a highly sustainable and durable Resin Bound material in various colours available from the SureSet product range.

Result

SureSet worked with Main contractor Bovis Homes SE. Our expert team completed a seamless Installation of 875m² of Resin Bound materials. Interesting patterns were made from MDF to encourage natural play whilst finding areas made especially to create a memorable play experience and learn about the natural environment whilst using these walkways. The colours incorporated were Sterling, Winter Frost, Charcoal and Norwegian Pearl all to suit the natural and new surroundings of this amazing development.
