The building built in 1961 is located in the upper part of the country, surrounded by vineyards and orchards on the edge of the woods, on a spur of porphyry and offers panoramic views over the Adige Valley and the town of Lana, as well as on the tops of the group Tessa, Merano, and those of Val d'Ultimo and Passo Palade.


The simple and linear shapes and the use of materials recurrent zone (plaster and wood) allow the building to fit into the landscape, despite the flat roof, comparing harmoniously with the verticality of the cypresses and the campanile behind.


Following the restructuring and the new energy distribution inside the building now meets the housing needs and work of the new user. The attic originally used in drying, has been replaced by a plan with wooden structure in bio-xlam a flat roof. The internal arrangement, completely revised, provides functional spaces and bright connected by a large and sculptural in solid elm.


The ground floor is used as a workshop-studio, the sleeping area is located on the first floor and a large living room with terrace and kitchen on the second floor.


The external structure and many of the perforated patterns have been preserved and reproduced in the new plan, others have been merged into large glass windows, so that the sweeping views of the surrounding landscape is visible not only from its terraces but also from interior spaces.


Similar to the new functional division, the two living planes are covered by strips of larch of the nearby Val d'Ultimo. Mediterranean character the pergola roof, in an extension of the coating, which defines large terrace and along the entire building.


The realization of an underground garage allows to exploit the cover for the realization of a garden in the small lot of properties.


The entire building was insulated with a coat of rock wool high density. The windows in spruce lacquered aluminum external profiles are very high performance with glasses isolated double room. The floors are hardwood elm brushed and oiled and seamlessly through each space integrating perfectly with the wooden staircase also in essence elm oiled.


On the ground floor, workshop area, they opted for a floor in strips of solid oak matt. The baseboards, details, they are flush with the wall surface.


In the bathrooms were used ceramic tiles of large format with joints geometrically coordinated with the position of health, of mirrors and heated towel rails. Glues, varnishes and lacquers are all certified GEV-Emicode EC 1 / EC 1R low emission of volatile organic sostenze. Raffstore external motorized modulating natural light interior spaces together with curtains in pure linen Italian manufacture. A home automation system (integrated knx) manages the lighting and dimming systems outside.


The building is certified KlimaHouse B but in practice efficiency from A (less than 900 cubic meters of natural gas per year to heat 1100 cubic meters of rooms and sanitary water), while the overall energy thanks to photovoltaic and solar reaches the maximum category "GOLD " (zero CO2/sq.m. emissions).
