Poseidonion Hotel

The Poseidonion Hotel in Spetses, originally opened in 1974, still occupies a commanding position representing the unique culture of Spetses and the history of Greece and Greek mythology. Sympathetically refurbished in 2011 to depict service elegance and style, the owners choose timber flooring from Dennebos throughout the hotel bedrooms, and in the Wellness Centre. The ethos of the design decision was to reflect an era of wealth, privilege, refined hospitality and comfort. A light reflecting colour in 175mm wide was chosen as the main flooring feature with complimentary soft furnishings within the bedrooms to enhance the feeling of space and minimalism. Within the Wellness Centre a warmer shade was chosen to create a cosy restful area for visitors to unwind and relax. There is no doubt that the installation of 2,500m2 of flooring by Dennebos throughout the bedrooms and within the wellness centre gives the hotel a fresh modern feel with the assurance of a quality that will stand the test of time and the reassurance of timeless tradition, an overall special ambience and personality that the owners were so very keen to achieve.
