The R&D building for Philips is an excellent example of a building which retains full rental potential through its flexible layout. It has a simple interior design, with large open areas which can be subdivided according to requirements.
Plentiful daylight is provided by open patios leading off the connecting corridor which determines the structure of the 18,000 m2 building. This is a three-story building, each floor covering 6000 m2. The building forms part of the Philips R&D Campus in Shanghai, all of which has been developed by DHV. The facades were designed by RMJM Architects of Hong Kong, under the supervision of DHV.
